About Aubrell

Aubrell is a small clothing label that makes dresses, tops, knitwear and outerwear in a short list of quiet colours. Each piece starts with the cloth: washed linen, fine jersey, soft wool and a cotton canvas that wears in rather than out. We cut simple shapes that sit well together, so that a handful of pieces can cover most days of the year, at work, at home and everywhere in between.

A new piece takes its time. We make a sample, wear it, wash it and change what did not work before anything reaches the shop. Some pieces need three or four samples, and a few never make it.

We make small runs and repeat the pieces people come back for, rather than filling the shop with something new every week. Look after them, and they will look after you for years.
