Aubrell values

We would rather make fewer clothes and make them well.

That starts with the cloth. We choose natural fibres that last, keep the colours to a short list so that every piece works with the rest, and buy fabric for one season at a time rather than for a year we cannot see yet.

Our philosophy

A garment is finished when it has been worn, not when it leaves the cutting table. Every Aubrell sample is worn and washed before it joins a collection, and we change the pattern until the seams sit flat, the pockets hold what they should and the fabric still looks right after the tenth wash.

We keep collections short. A few new pieces arrive each season, and the ones that work stay in the shop for as long as people ask for them. Nothing is made to be thrown away when the season ends, and nothing is marked down to make room for the next one.

Repairs are part of the plan. Every piece with buttons comes with a spare, and the care label says how to keep the fabric at its best.

Clothes are for living in. We hope ours become the ones you reach for first, on ordinary days as much as on the ones you plan for.
